More Oy than Oyster

This app is a great idea, but the implementation has plenty of room for improvement. I often found myself frustrated because long or complicated patterns can take some time to compute and there is little in the UI that lets me know that something is happening, but the cursor is unresponsive and eventually the mouse goes “beachball”.

There is a comprehensive RegEx dictionary in the app, and its well orgainized, but I wish it was easier to use.

I know this seems like a petty gripe, but the icon is particularly ugly. There are many great ways to render oyster but it seems like the author went out of his or her way to pick the worst one.

The app hasn’t crashed on me, yet.
